“Boys locker room”– rather then addressing real issues some people are making it more gender biased.
Some people are blaming guys around them with most popular quote existing since ages, “All men are same “.
Last year incident : Aunty made remark on a girl that she should be raped for wearing short clothes, somewhere around April end this incident happened, 1 year passed and people don’t even remember anything…….. what changed in society ?? …….as the screenshots were out it shows nothing is changed !
Let’s not forget last year incident and 1stly stop blaming every men.
The real issue is we need to find how many such group exists, they are not just digital group, words by them show their mentality. So we need to find how many such people exists in our society and for permanent solution read my blog till end.
I believe initially it is small spark which later turn into big fire , soo all these things are not new, all are existing since years, which made it big today.
Either up-bringing of people involved in “BOYS LOCKER ROOM” kind of every group have been in bad environment or they have been around people who behaved same that’s why they don’t know how to respect women or respect anyone.
Reason can be more then the mentioned things, we still don’t know their exact mindset. Today they threaten girls, tomorrow they can do anything to her out of rage.
Delhi rape case- NIRBHAYA case had minor’s involvement, they tied her boyfriend,injured him when he tried to protect her and then performed heinous act on nirbhaya …. point here is all these people involved in act don’t have any mercy. They can even do anything with a guy also. Their bad mentality is not only against women.
For long term solution government can help by appointing psychologists for these category of criminals who will further analyze the mindset, which will help to find a way for further problem solution.
Talking about incident, we are thinking that groups like “boys locker room” are made specially within boys for such talks and comments, but i want to mention here that such people don’t need any special insta or WhatsApp group, they will make their remark in-person or it can be even in group which was made for some education purpose or it can be closed friend group.
Such people exists everywhere but they aren’t pointed out because of our society’s habit of “normalizing” things . If a guy made some remark in a group or shared something like photo of professional model with comments on her body part then generally other people will ignore that if they don’t support such things.
Sometimes those people even make fun of other if they aren’t interested in viewing pictures shared by them.
Sharing of professional model pictures in group made for “only guys” has become normal thing and that normal thing lead to such situation where people are making remark on normal girls pictures and threatening her.
As i mentioned “NOT EVERY GUY SUPPORT”, but the issue has become gender biased because one can’t even imagine a girl commenting or threatening other girl in such way. Last year aunty incident is live example of that, if that aunty can make such comments being a women then it can even be possible that maybe girls are part of such groups.
Point is simple when we normalize things at basic level then it made it big in future.
Like Now we are normalizing cuss words especially gali on mother and sister, youth find them cool but in future people will start doings out of revenge, now they are just speaking to remove frustration, but in some part of society it is impacting badly which we aren’t able to see now because YouTube series, movies and many shows had started normalizing and they made it appear very cool.
Not just men, women are even speaking gaali…because of normalization in society.
Lesson to learn when some thing is happening around you which is not appreciable or it is humiliating or it has sexual remark on someone…..
etc it can be anything then instead of staying calm oppose it, i know when just one person oppose people don’t believe him or either they will make fun of him, soo process will take time, but at end it will be worth.
Due to Mindset problem such people don’t have any human compassion, they won’t attack seeing gender, out of rage they can do anything, for revenge, soo we all need to find a more stronger solution, i mentioned few things here, but in our society many other things are also existing which many of us don’t know.
